Oh director of Harry Potter and The Deathy Hallows Part 1 – you have outdone yourself.
I have never been a fan of the previous HP movies. This was mostly because either the acting was so terrible and awkward it would leave you sobbing in the corner with humiliation for the actors, or there were too many important parts of the book that were cut out in the movie, or the movie wrongly depicted how a scene plays out in the book, or scenes were too brief and scene transitions would leave you flabbergasted with how it ended up from there to where it took you next, etc etc. My biggest disappointment was the third movie. I felt that all the new characters were a wrong fit.
But this latest movie was pure genius.
Sure, there were LOTS missing, but that’s okay, because everything else made up for it and realistically speaking, it’s not like everything in the book can ever be fully depicted on screen. I am in love with Emma Watson, and Daniel Radcliff’s acting has really improved. As for Rupert.. well, I always liked him 😉
Watching the movie made me feel all warm and fuzzy.
And now I feel sad.
GODDAMN YOU TIME. I hate how soon you pass.
Ron: The deluminator. It doesn’t just turn off lights. I don’t know how it worked but Christmas morning, I was sleeping in this little pub, keeping away from some Snatchers, and I heard it. A voice. Your voice, Hermione. You said my name. Just my name. Like a whisper. So I took it, clicked it and this tiny ball of light appeared. And I knew. It flew towards me, the ball of light, right through my chest and straight through me. Right here
[he touches his heart]
Ron: And I knew it was going to take me where I needed to go.
