What’s next?

The following is just one of the few things that makes me wonder what the world is coming to because really, sometimes it’s all a little too stupefying to compute. I was so appalled after reading this news story.

Have you heard of ‘RapeLay’? Well, it’s a Japanese video game based entirely around raping women and underage girls. AND it’s multiplayer too! Awesome. That is just so cool that my friends can join in with me in a series of graphic, interactive scenes, where we can corner women and then rape them again and again purely for entertainment purposes or to get rid of all that pent up sexual aggression. I imagine that if Freud were alive, he’d probably be nodding his head in accordance with the latter logic.

Most people I know don’t even like going to the bathroom at the same time as a friend; so why would anyone want to pretend to rape women together? People who play this game need serious psychological help. And if you do not agree then I think you need to see a shrink too.

But wait, there’s more! It gets somehow even more insane: "The game allows you to even impregnate a girl and urge her to have an abortion." Err, what? That’s the unfortunate AFTERMATH of a rape. Why is that part of the game?!
The explanation is this: people who live out their rape fantasies makes them deal with the consequences of their actions. Well then, here’s hoping there’s a feature where the girl’s parent or friend shows up at your house with a shotgun.

But hey, at least they gave the protagonist some relatability: "The reason behind your assault, explains the game, is that the teenage girl has accused you of molesting her on the train. The motive is revenge."

Oh, never mind video game dude, all is forgiven. I mean, you had to rape her; bitch called you a rapist! A good rape will show her what a non-rapist you…wait.

Sigh. WTF Japan? Really?

Again, I weep for our future.

  1. That story almost doesn’t seem real. The makers of the game need psychiatric care. And friendly encounters with rape victims. And by friendly, I mean brutal.
